Last weekend Rachel and I got to talking, and it led to me not doing work I should have been doing and creating a fake Wes Anderson soundtrack instead. This is probably my favorite mix to date.

Our favorite 12er who looks like he could be an axe-murderer has finally got a quarter of a century under his belt. He chose to celebrate at Ron Toms and the Galaxy. His commentary on the night: “I’m seabiscuit! And I’m a horse. And I’m walking in the men’s bathroom and I’m a horse!”

Christmas with Uncle Jim.
Jim Riswold, a man known for being a stunning dickhead (just kidding?), was kind enough to invite us over to his swanky apartment for a Christmas party. That sweetheart whipped up three delicious soups, delicious sandwiches, and a ton of booze which we promptly polished off.

Yes. The zoo is open in December.
I’m not quite sure what we were thinking, but 12 had the bright idea to go to the zoo one frigid day in December. Holy christ, it was cold, but it was also only two bones to get in.
It’s true. There were no black bears.
As it turns out, there were NO BEARS AT ALL. This was as good as it got for bear viewing.

A while back I had this idea of creating a mental playlist of happy songs. The point is that most people would be familiar with all or most of the songs on the list. You would read the list and pick a song and be able to imagine it, and because the song is so happy, you in turn would feel happier. I wrote the list for those conditions and decided I might as well just compile it for real. Perhaps...
