Yesterday we unveiled our long-anticipated introduction: Abecedarium.
We were given the task to introduce ourselves to the agency on the first day. We pitched a few ideas, and decided to make an ABC book, otherwise known as an abecedarium. We each pulled two letters from a hat, and went forth to produce beautiful and functional pieces. We chose words that show our big influences in the agency, and included all the lessons that we want to learn this year.
Over the course of several weeks we made it all happen. The project culminated in a 72-hour work binge over president’s day weekend. We pushed 45,000 push pins into a wall, built a website, shot and edited videos, illustrated, photoshopped, cleaned the space and hung the show. Little sleep was had, but the hustle felt good. We also learned what it mean to work as a team.
We had our opening party for the agency on Tuesday the 21st. HUndreds of agency folk came, meet us, drink mimosas and eat a few crème brulée donuts from our favorite donut spot, Donutorama. It felt great to get so much done in so little time, and even more satisfying to introduce ourselves to W+K.
We have a sneaking suspicion that we’ll be getting a new brief today.
This is going to be a busy year :)
We’ve been busy.
I’m just happy I finally slept last night.
